Controller YGE LVP with propeller positioning from Florian Schambeck Luftsporttechnik
The speed controller/controller YGE LVP with propeller positioning from Florian Schambeck Luftsporttechnik, presented by Stephan Eich.
This speed controller is special because the slats are always brought back to a desired position as soon as the motor has been switched to "OFF". This process is implemented via an electromagnetic switch in the nose of the fuselage and a small magnet in the spinner. The associated programming, which was implemented in close cooperation between YGE and Florian Schambeck Luftsporttechnik in 2018/19, is absolutely reliable. The advantages of a YGE controller have thus been extended in a very sensible way - pay attention to the designation YGE-LVP.
The normal controllers are called LVT and have no positioning of the battens, only the controllers from Florian Schambeck with YGE-LVP (“P” for propeller positioning) have this excellent function for an optimal aerodynamic end position of the battens on the fuselage.
Since 2018, this system has been used successfully in retractable engines, engines with or without gears. With specially cranked spinners and slats lying close to the fuselage, the propellers always and reliably travel to the point on the fuselage with the lowest resistance, so that the front resistance of the folding propeller is almost non-existent.
A positive side effect, landing on the expensive CFRP folding plates and the associated risk of breakage is 100% ruled out with the propeller positioning from Florian Schambeck Luftsporttechnik. What a blessing and saves lots of money on new propellers.
